Umpire Nadir Shah has passed away
Former national cricketer and ICC panel umpire Nadir Shah (Innalillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raziun) has succumbed to lung cancer after a long battle with chronic cancer.
Nadir Shah, 57, breathed his last at the Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in the capital City on Friday (September 10th) morning. His death will be mourned in the last match of the Bangladesh-New Zealand 5-match T20 series on Friday (September 10) afternoon.
Cricketers of both the teams will have a minute of silence to pay their respects to Nadir. Besides, Mahmudullah Riyad's team will come down wearing black badges on them.
ICC panel umpire Nadir Shah has officiated 6 Tests, 63 ODIs and 3 T20I matches.
