Bangladesh suffered a huge blow ahead of the three-match ODI series against India after skipper Tamim Iqbal was ruled out of the series. The senior batsman is also doubtful for the first Test.
“He is unavailable for ODI’s as he is ruled out for two weeks,” BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin told Daily Cricket on Thursday adding that they are yet to take a decision on who will lead the side in absence of Tamim.

Tamim picked up a groin injury in the warm-up game at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on November 30 and has now been advised two weeks of rest. While the ODI series finishes on December 10, the first Test begins on December 14 and as a result, Tamim faces a race against time to make it to that game.
BCB insider confirmed Daily Cricket that either Shakib al Hasan or Liton Kumar Das will lead the side against India in the ODI’s.
