Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Thursday that they have included Abdur Razzak as the third member of the selection panel during the 9th meeting of the BCB board of directors in zoom platform on Wednesday.
BCB decided to continue with Minhajul Abedin as chief selector while he will have Habibul Bashar and Razzak as his companion in the selection panel.
BCB board directors gfailed to complete a board meeting since after a gap of nearly 10 months considering the last time board directors sat on a meeting was March 8 when they appointed Tamim Iqbal as the successor of Mashrafee bin Mortaza.
’We have appointed Razzak as the third member of the selection panel,’’ said a BCB official.

Razzak admitted that BCB had informed him about his appointment and looking forward to work in his new position. BCB decided to extend the contract of Minhajul and Bashar that ended in December 2020.
Minhajul has been in the selection panel since 2011 but was appointed the Chief Selector in 2016, while Bashar was previously with the women’s selection team but later took the post for the men’s team in 2016.
