Afghanistan star leg spinner Rashid Khan brushed aside speculation regarding his availability in the Pakistan Super League finals at the expense of skipping national duty. 

There was rumor in the air that Rashid, who is currently in Bangladesh featuring for Afghanistan in the ongoing white-ball series, will leave Chattogram to make him available for Lahore Qalandars in the PSL final against Multan Sultans, scheduled on Sunday. 

On February 20, the Qalandars’ right-arm spinner had left the PSL franchise to join his national squad for the ODI and T20I series against Bangladesh.

‘’I won’t be able to make it for the finals due to National Duty which is always a first priority,’’ Rashid announced on his official twitter handle on Saturday.

 Bangladesh clinched the ODI’s series by earning victories in the opening two games against Afghanistan while they will the last game of the series at Chattogram on February 28.

Both sides will lock horns in two-match T20 series in Dhaka, scheduled respectively on March 3 and 5.
