Dhaka Dominators head coach Chaminda Vaas urged his team mates to help their skipper Nasir Hossain as he feels their leader got the ability to take them a long way in the tournament.
Skipper Nasir Hossain demonstrated an all-round brilliance to help newcomers Dhaka Dominators earn a six-wicket win over Khulna Tigers during their opening match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2023 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday.
Nasir claimed 2-29 and he was well supported by pacer Al-Amin Hossain (4-28) and left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny (2-24) as Dhaka restricted Khulna to 113-8 in 20 overs after they elected to bowl first.

The 31-year-old former national cricketer then struck an unbeaten run-a-ball 36 while Dilshan Munaweera made 22 runs as Dhaka reached 117-4 in 19.1 overs to start the tournament on a high note.
“Nasir has been doing really well in domestic cricket and has a lot of experience and knowledge. There are quite a few senior players in the team like Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Mithun and Taskin as well. It’s a good team with a lot of experience and competition. These boys will help Nasir as a leader throughout the tournament,” said Vaas.
