Bangladesh are eyeing to end their three-match ODI’s series on a high as they prepare take on England in the last game of the series following their loss in the opening two games.

The match is scheduled to start at 12:00pm (BST) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium today and will be telecast live on T Sports and GTV.

Bangladesh had already lost the ODI series and thereby their seven years unbeaten run in ODI’s series at home came to an end while if they lose the last game to England it will be embarrassing for them considering the fact for the first time since 2012 they will be cleanly swept away in 50-over format at home.

Tigers were whitewashed at home back in 2012 when Pakistan cleanly swept them away in the three-match series while in 2014 India defeated Bangladesh by 2-0 margin in three-match series but technically that was not clean sweep as one match was washed out due to rain.

“We need to come back strongly to do well in the last ODI against England,” Bangladesh spin coach Rangana Herath told reporters on Sunday.

“There’s a lot to come after these two matches against England. We play against Ireland, Afghanistan, leading up to the World Cup. This game is very important for us. We need to do our best in this game, leading up to the World Cup’s preparation,” he said.

Following the ODI’s series host will take on tourist in the three-match T20’s series and will play the series opener as ZACS on March 9.

The rest of the two T20 matches will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on March 12 and 14.
