Bangladesh’s opener Tamim Iqbal is ruled out from the upcoming home series against Pakistan due to a thumb injury.
BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin confirmed the development to the Daily Sun on Sunday.
‘’Tamim is likely to travel abroad for treatment of his injured left thumb,’’ Minhajul told Daily Cricket on Sunday.

Tamim has been troubled with a thumb injury for a longtime and despite several X-ray, tests and rehabilitation processes his thumb injury has not fully recovered yet.
The left handed batsman, who made himself unavailable from the ICC World T20, attempted a comeback at the Everest Premier League but he suffered a fresh injury blow during the tournament by fracturing his left thumb that sidelined him again.
Tamim was due to take part in the sixth round of the ongoing national Cricket league in order to make himself ready for the upcoming two-match Test series against Pakistan, scheduled after the three-match T20 series.
