Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal said on Sunday that he is not ready bat down the order though Bangladesh batting coach Jamie Siddons hinted that he will be a fantastic number four and they can opt to send him down the order if he is replaced at the top by a suitable opener.

Jamie put his opinion when a journalist asked him at the BCB academy premises whether they can demote Tamim provided in some leading cricket playing countries it is seen that aging openers are put down the order as they tend to lose their reflexes a bit due to their age.

‘’What do you think? I should bat at number four or I should open? I don’t know what was going through his brain who asked this question. I don’t have any what he has on his head but the question was very stupid. I personally thought. About me batting four I don’t see any reason why should I bat at number four. I have been opening for 17 years and I have been doing quite well. So there is no chance (me batting at four),’’ said Tamim.
