Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal is all set to miss the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan at home as he is eyeing to make an international comeback against them in the two-match Test series.
Tamim is planning to make a comeback to competitive cricket with the fifth round of National Cricket League, country's traditional first-class tournament, slated from November 14, in order to ready himself for the Test series.
Tamim sat with the BCB medical team on Sunday (October 31) to assess his condition and it was decided that he will start batting practice against spin from November 7 and later move on to do full-fledged batting sessions.

Bangladesh's T20I squad is expected to start their preparation on November 12 for the three matches that are scheduled on November 19, 20 and 22. The Test series will begin at Tamim's homeground in Chattogram from November 26-30 while the series concluding Test will be played in Dhaka from December 4-8.
Tamim, who made himself unavailable from the ongoing T20 World Cup, wanted to pave way for the youngsters considering he was not taking part in the shortest format quite regularly in the recent past. He had already missed the two home series - against Australia and New Zealand - both of which the hosts won.
