Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan is all set the miss the upcoming three-match T20 series against Pakistan due to hamstring injury, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official on Friday.
Bangladesh are scheduled to play the three T20Is against Pakistan at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on November 19, 20 and 22 respectively.
Following the T20’s, Bangladesh will play the two-match Test series opener first at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on November 26. The second Test will be played at Mirpur from December 4.

BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury informed media on Friday that Shakib, who sustained grade 1 hamstring injury during the ICC WorldT20 that forced him to be sidelined at the midway, will need three weeks rest to recover from the injury while they are expecting him to be available during the two-match Test series against Pakistan following the T20’s.
“Shakib will take at least three weeks to recover and get back to the field,’’ Debashish told reporters in Dubai on Friday.
‘’He might be able to play the Test series,’’ he said regarding Shakib, who is currently staying in USA with his wife and children.
