Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Monday that Shakib al Hasan will be available in the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa.
Shakib earlier informed the board that he will not be available for the South Africa Test series as he wanted to be available for the Indian Premier League.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan informed the media on Monday that Shakib agreed to play the Test as he is not been picked for the IPL.
‘’Shakib will be playing the Test in South Africa. He had given us a letter that he wanted to skip Test for six months( due to IPL) but we asked him to be available for the home series against Sri Lanka and he agreed,’’ said Nazmul.
