Bangladesh batsman Mahmudullah is doubtful for the upcoming tour of New Zealand due to his shoulder injury. 

Mahmudullah injured his shoulder while diving during batting against Australia in their last game of the World Cup. 

Mahmudullah, who was the leading run scorer for Bangladesh in the ongoing World Cup making 328 runs in seven innings out of eight games, will take five to seven weeks to recover.

“I think he is doubtful for the white ball series against New Zealand at their own back yard in December for his shoulder injury,” said Minhajul.

Bangladesh is expected to tour New Zealand in December for three ODIs and as many Twenty20 internationals.

The three ODIs are scheduled respectively on December 17, 20, 23 while the three T20Is are slated to be played on December 27, 29 and 31.
