England all-rounder Moeen Ali said on Sunday that said on Sunday that he is disappointed not to go out and see the Sylhet City during the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League campaign.

Moeen is playing the BPL for Comilla Victorians and while he is of Pakistani and English descent, the cricketer opined that Bangladesh is just as much a home for him.

Moeen's wife Firoza Hossain is Sylhet-born and courtesy of that, Moeen feels a connection to the northeastern city.

"My wife is here. Her sisters, brother in law, they are all in Dhaka, coming to Sylhet in two days' time," Moeen told reporters in Sylhet.

"Bangladesh is home; Pakistan is home; England is home. I see them as all the same to be honest. All my in-laws are here. Respect to them, it's my first time Syhlet. They always used to tell me, 'let's go to Syhlet' but somehow, I couldn't manage the time. It's nice to be here now. It's a shame we can't go out but I am very happy to be here," he said adding that he is keen to learn Sylheti words.
