Bangladesh pace bowler Hasan Mahmud said on Saturday that they are confident of beating England and earn their maiden T20I’s series win.

Bangladesh is currently leading the series by 1-0 margin as they stunned the visitors by handing them a six-wicket defeat in the series opener at the Zahur Ahmed Stadium on March 9.

“I think as the game will be played in Mirpur it will be good wicket. Till now we have played well and we beat them in Chattogram and we will try to beat them here. The momentum is on our side and we need to keep that,” Hasan told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.

“At the moment the team we have is one of the best bunch players in (T20I’s) they are all very energetic and gives a lot of effort,” he said.

 “It was challenging for me and it was difficult to defend but we can learn playing in such wicket because it helps us to learn how we can bowl well against good team. We have a good pace unit and we can defend here as well.

Bangladesh will play their series deciding second T20I’s game against England at SBNS on Sunday (March 12).
