Bangladesh pace bowling coach Allan Donald will be available in the upcoming home series against India, said Bangladesh Cricket Board official.
BCB appointed Donald till the end ICC T20 World Cup but according to Nizamuddin Chowdhury, BCB chief executive, they are expecting him the South African to be part of host’s team management set-up during the home series against India comprised with three ODI’s and two Test matches.
“Allan Donald is available during the home series against India. His contract (that is signed till the ICC T20 World Cup) is an internal matter but he is available during the India,” BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said adding that he is not ready to disclose anything more about it.
It is understood that BCB will take decision regarding extension of their foreign coaches when they sit in their next board meeting that is scheduled to take place after the arrival of BCB president Nazmul Hasan arrives from Australia on November 14.
BCB is yet to announce whether they will continue with Sridharan Sriram as his contract also ended with the ICC T20 World Cup but board insiders insist that he is expected to have an extension considering the board is happy with his performance in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Russell Domingo, Bangladesh Test and ODI’s head coach, will arrive on November 14 to guide the team ahead of the India series.
BCB opted for split coaching ahead of the Asia Cup as the board was not pleased with Domingo’s performance in the shortest format and decided to give the rein of T20’s to Sridharan Sriram by appointing him as technical consultant.
