Former Bermudian cricketer David Hemp is all set to join Bangladesh High Performance Unit as their head coach, a Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Monday.
The 52-year-old, who played 22 ODIs and two T20Is for Bermuda from 2006 to 2009, previously coached Pakistan women's national cricket team from 2020 to 2022.
“We have already discussed with him regarding the job. The contract will be finalized within a few days,” a BCB official confirmed on Monday
Former West Indies assistant coach Toby Radford earlier took the job of the head coach of the High Performance Unit in August 2020 for one year but he was unable to give his service due to the pandemic situation.
Over the last few years, the BCB had only interim coaches for this programme and Sri Lankan Champa
