Bangladesh batsman Nazmul Hossain said that he was carrying the confidence after scoring in the BPL while added that they were given freedom to express themselves in the middle.

Nazmul is constantly scoring runs in the recent past as he was the highest scorer for Tigers in the last edition of ICC World T20 and later was the talk of the town by becoming the highest scorer in the BPL.

Nazmul made 51 off 30 balls with eight fours to lay the platform for the win while Shakib Al Hasan made unbeaten 34 runs to complete the required job.

I have been scoring regularly, which allows extra confidence. Game awareness gets better.

“I think the team environment is great. We played together in the BPL, so they didn’t take time to gel with the rest of the team. The good thing about our dressing room, a new player never feels that he is new,” he said. 

“The batsmen were given freedom in this series. Impact can’t happen quickly. It takes time. It depends on wickets, conditions. I think the batsmen have a lot more freedom, and soon there will be more impact,” he said adding that they are focusing on their fielding.

“We have great focus on our fielding. We have been taking our fielding positions quite seriously, ensuring we took those positions in the critical moments. Taskin, Mustafiz have also improved their fielding,” he said.

“They are putting a lot of effort in fielding practice. We want to become a good fielding team. But still, there’s room for improvement,” he concluded.
