Bangladesh Cricket Board seems to be running out of time to make up their mind regarding their T20 captain for the upcoming three-match series against Zimbabwe.

BCB high-ups is expected to sit with Mahmudullah to talk with him about his future sooner than later as per the instruction of the BCB president Nazmul Hasan, who insisted they will talk with skipper before taking any decision regarding change in leadership role in the shortest format.

According to media reports Mahmudullah is expected to be rested for the T20’s as BCB’s think tank feels the need for change to the T20’S side that played in the West Indies, losing the series on 2-0 margin after the opening game was abandoned due to rain.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan name came up as possible replacement of Mahmudullah as T20’s skipper but as he will be missing the tour of Zimbabwe for personal reason leadership role could be handed to someone else on interim basis with Nurul Hasan being the top runner for it.

‘’I am seeing what is coming in the media but I cannot make any comment about it,’’ Jalal Yunus, BCB’s cricket operation chairman, told Daily Cricket on Wednesday.

Along with Jalal, Bangladesh team director Khaled Mahmud and chief selector Minhajul Abedin is also expected to be there in the meeting

Mahmudullah’s form has also been under scrutiny as he has yet to have a major contribution with the bat since the World Cup in UAE.

It was also learned that Mushfiqur Rahim will be rested from the T20’s in Zimbabwe.
