Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Tuesday that they have issued show cause notice to pace bowler Mehedy Hasan Rana for making degrading remark about selection panel members in his Facebook post recently.

Mehedy, the left-arm pace bowler, accused the selector in his verified Facebook page that selection panel members did not respond to his queries after they promised him a place in the A team and later not keeping him there.

Mehedy removed the post after 20 minutes but by that time it went viral in the social media putting BCB into embarrassment.  

Mehedy is expected to meet BCB officials on October 15 to come up with his explanation while it was learnt he might face ban for breaching BCB’s code of conduct.
