Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Tuesday that they will end their preparation for the upcoming ICC World T20’s by playing a tri-nation series in New Zealand.
The series, expected to start on October 7 or 8, comprising New Zealand and Pakistan, will be played at Chirstchurch.
Bangladesh planned to play a T20 series against New Zealand in 2020 ahead of the ICCWC T20 in Australia but later shelved it as the tournament was postponed due to corona virus.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus informed media at Chattogram on Tuesday that now they are eyeing to play a tri-series in New Zealand as part of their preparation for the forthcoming global tournament in the shortest format. ’The tri-series in New Zealand will be our last international T20 assignments before the ICC WCT20,’’ BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus told reporters at Chattogram on Tuesday.
‘’Though it is yet to be finalized( third team of the tri-series) but most probably Pakistan will be the other team apart from the host New Zealand,’’ he said.
Bangladesh will have a seven to eight days camp in Adelaide before leaving for playing the tri-series in Christchurch.
During the camp in Adelaide the tourist is expected to play a T20’s games against a domestic team of Australia.
Bangladesh will play three-match T20’s series against West Indies and Zimbabwe apart from taking part in the Asia Cup before moving to Adelaide for the last segment of their T20’s preparation.
